National Journal of Clinical Anatomy (NJCA) is an official journal of the Society of Clinical Anatomists, India. The journal was conceptualized to provide an international platform for interaction and exchange of ideas. It’s already indexed with Index Copernicus and available at EBSCO, ProQuest, and IndMED. It is the time when the journal seeks high-quality articles from its authors, so that it can earn its due place in top bibliographical portals for its further growth.
The first issue of the journal was released in the year 2012 by the then editor-in-chief, Dr. Muthukumaravel. He dedicated his 5 years of hard work in bringing out the journal without a break. I am grateful for his initiation and inspired by his confidence in bringing out this journal to this extent.
The content of the journal focuses mainly on original articles related to the field of clinical anatomy. The articles that further enhance the existing clinical knowledge are given top priority rather than the well-known morphological data. We accept case reports hitherto unreported elsewhere which would further enhance the knowledge of the readers.
All articles submitted will undergo a well-established double-blinded peer review process which is accurate and efficient, and it is needless to say that only articles of good standard are accepted for publication.
The journal’s envisions are to publish high-quality articles to benefit the medical fraternity and, at the same time, help the journal to get enlisted with top global bibliographical portals.
With these ambitions in mind, I am glad to inform you that the NJCA has signed an MoU with Thieme Medical and Scientific Publishers, starting from January 2019.
Thieme is an award-winning international medical and science publisher that offers a wide range of health–science books focusing on various fields of medicine. It has a structured and patterned working style which would help our journal to achieve our vision
Our collaboration with Thieme has changed the outlook of the journal. The journal will now come with a new look and feel for the initial issue of 2019. We expect that the standpoint of the journal would be increased manifold. Editorial policies and web site too have changed as per Thieme’s international standards.
It is indeed an exciting time for NJCA switching over to Thieme. However, the team NJCA wishes to encourage the members and authors to send us their best content, and request the readers to express their opinions for further improvements.
